A mother of four, two biological daughters - Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret - and two adopted kids, Isabella and Connor, she is currently married to country singer Keith Urban after splitting with ex-husband, Tom Cruise.

In a recent interview she had with Tracy Smith of CBS Sunday Morning, which was broadcast on the 18th of December 2016, she had talked passionately about her one of a kind 10 years marriage to her husband, Keith Urban, how they met, how he had been there for her even when she experienced the trauma of losing her dad, Dr. Anthony Kidman in 2014, and how grateful she is to have the marriage, love and her children who also showed their support by reassuring her all was well.

She met her husband in 2005 and they got married the following year. In her words 'We had chemistry. I never underestimate the power of chemistry'. She had gone on to talk about how inevitable the death of her father was but how terrible the blow was. She said: 'I knew at some point that was going to come but boy when it comes, it's... It lays you out. It laid me out. I was like, I do not even know hot to get up from this'.

According to her, Keith was out on a show getting ready to go upstage for his performance when she picked up the phone and called him amidst tears and screaming, 'he was about to go on stage and he walked off stage, got on a plane and he had just gotten there. He flew six hours, he literally picked me up and pretty much carried me through the next two weeks'.

The interview had gone from normal to emotional when the interviewer, Tracy Smith, asked her what impression she would love to leave. She replied with tears in her eyes, 'I would just like to be here long enough to have my children grow up and for me to see them thriving' 'That’s all I ask. And that my husband and I are with each other. Simple! Simple requests. I'm an older mother, so, you know . . . It's that prayer of, 'Gosh, let me be here'.

Tom and Nicole adopted Isabella in 1992 and Connor in 1995. After the split, the children went on living with Tom, in another interview, Nicole maintained she was still in contact with Connor and Isabella online: 'I have four children [including two with her current husband Keith Urban], so to stay in touch with them is very important'

It's interesting to see a couple that is so endeared to each other after many years of their being lonely individually. They have best been described as one of Hollywood's enduring couple. They have been through lots of scandalous situations in their marriage years.

One of such events that got tongues wagging that their marriage boat was rocky was the conspicuous absence of Nicole Kidman at the funeral of Keith Urban's dad. It definitely looked like their marriage was on the verge of breaking as the media painted it. A close friend of Keith had said 'he would have loved to have his wife by his side' but Kidman was away on a job. Nicole, who was 48 years of age at that time, was filming a movie - 'How To Talk to Girls at Parties' - in London of which was reported that the whole production process would have come to a halt and most likely fallen through if she was absent as it had only a small budget backing.

In spite of all this, it's good to know that they've pulled through together. It's quite beautiful to see that despite their busy schedules, they've been able to find time for each other saying their marriage is a priority. How beautiful.
