Leornardo DiCaprio In A Climate Change Documentary

The movie, 'The Revenant' (2015), might be one of the highlights of the American actor’s career in the film having won him the Academy Award for the Best Actor. Certainly, as it seems now, this was not the end of the actor. The upcoming documentary, 'Before The Flood' that stars the actor is the best epitome of the talented DiCaprio.

In the new role, Leonardo DiCaprio has this beard that keeps on changing according to the atmosphere whims. He laments that his home country is the biggest emitter of greenhouses gasses. In this regard, the actor states that the issue of climate change should be given even more thought by the US voters on the election. It is not a surprise therefore that DiCaprio will be putting some of the World leaders on the spotlight on the conversation on climate change. They include Barack Obama, Ban-Ki Moon, Pope Francis and Elon Musk.

The new role in the documentary shows a piece of DiCaprio that some of his fans never knew about. That is the fact that the actor is caring and always concerned about the greater of humanity. His role in 'Before the flood’ is perhaps in tandem with his new position of a peace climate change ambassador for the UN. Undoubtedly, Leonardo is well versed in the climate change talk as can be seen in his role.

This is the culmination of DiCaprio’s more than 20 years passion on climate change. Although there have been many documentaries previously produced on the subject of climate change, the decision to have a personality in the entertainment makes the film much better.

It is incredibly fascinating to see Di Caprio interview the global leaders and just show that the problem of climate change is real. More so, the actor can bring a new simple way that the younger generation can understand why climate change exists and why its denial thereof exists. Featuring scientists on a climate change documentary has perhaps not achieved the desired results.

For all of us who are the actor’s fans, the new role treats us with a humble DiCaprio who will bow to greet the Pope and be afraid to fall off the icy Greenland, cautious while walking through the rainforests of Indonesia and be afraid of the collapsing icebergs. The actor who starts out as a pessimist to climate change is slowly convinced that it is possible to control climate change after the interviews with Ellen, President Obama, and the Pope.

However, as you may know, this is not the first of DiCaprio’s documentaries. His previous documentary was in 2014 where he played a role together with Netflix and released Virunga which is a documentary staged at the popular Virunga National Park in Congo. The documentary was to later in 2015 earn him an Academy Awards nomination for the Best Documentary, 2015.

At the In the trailer to the documentary that has been released by Natural Geographic, one cannot help holding his breath that the actor manages walking through the Greenland and flying over Sumatra bush fires. Leonardo’s role is not only as an actor, but he is co-producing the documentary alongside Fisher Stevens.

'Before the flood' will be in theaters in NYC and LA starting October 21, and air globally on the National Geographic Channel starting October 30.
