A sneak peak on Tim Burtons latest: 'Miss Peregrine home for peculiar children'

Known for his dark, eerie and wacky storylines, Tim Burton is one name you must reckon when it comes to fantasy film. Having been active in the industry for more than 37 years, Tim could do no wrong as a film director. His latest craze, 'Miss Peregrine Home for Peculiar Children’, is a 2016 3D dark fantasy American film that has managed to cause a stir among movie lovers and non-movie enthusiasts alike, all in wait for the debut of this 126 minutes journey of fantasy and adventure.

Based on a Ransom Riggs 2011 best-selling novel under the same title, the premise of the story is on a boy named Jake Portman. On instruction from his late grandfather, he is forced to travel to a mystery land to uncover a wealth of hidden truths. As he stumbles upon a fairytale land that his grandfather had discoursed of, his young soul is awed. He discovers secret clues to mystery, spanning him to disparate realities and times. The charming and abandoned fairytale land soon turns face on him. While learning about the residents of Miss Peregrine home and each of their unique powers, it becomes apparent that safety may be elusive and danger is imminent in form of masked powerful enemies. Jake must quickly untangle a web and know who is genuine and who is faux. He must shield the ones he loves from the dark forces of his grandfather’s past and dig deep to find out who he is really . 'Miss Peregrine Home for Peculiar Children' is a compelling force, a mystery, an adventure, and an experience journeying through to the island and beyond with Jake on his Goth and tumultuous path.

With its release coming up on the 25th of September at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas; tickets to this premiere are quickly selling out. The film will first hit the theatres in America on the 30th of September, 2016. Written by Jane Goldman (screenplay), 'Miss Peregrine Home for Peculiar Children' was produced by Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping. Forming the cast are top-notch artists Asa Butterfield, Eva Green, Allison Janney, Chris O’Dowd, Ella Purnell, Rupert Everet and Terence Stamp, Judi Dench , Samuel L. Jackson.

Jake’s role is played by Asa Butterfield while Eva Green is the mysterious madam, Miss Peregrine.

Other dark fantasy films under Burton’s arm are such as 'The Nightmare before Christmas' (1993), 'Sleepy Hollow' (1999), and 'Corpse Bride' (2005).
