Why Trump has lost celebrity votes

Elections are heating up as the race to White House draws closer. Our presidential nominees have embraced digital campaign in a bid to communicate with voters on a wide platform. Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, gave a powerful speech at the 2016 Democratic National Convention. That speech defined a historic moment. After the speech, the number of her supporters increased by quite a margin.
This year has also seen a shift in celebrity participation in political matters. Many celebrities have announced their endorsements and given open reasons why they support them. Hillary seems to be taking the lead. Her supporters are openly discussing campaign slogans and her speech during talk shows. This leads us to wonder why Donald Trump is not doing very well.

1. Low popularity
For starters, Trump is not so popular with celebrities. A statement from Robert De Niro that Trump is crazy explains that fact. If you Google online, you will some honest comments that describe Trump. You should not take people personal opinion’s serious because some comments are not true. Bottom line, negative comments influence the public making him unpopular.

2. Hate speech
Trump has been accused of hate speech. On August 31, he called for the ideological screening test for all immigrants. He referred to undocumented Mexican immigrants as killers and rapists. (This was not his intention as he was addressing those that had been accused of these crimes.) Even though the statements were corrected for the public’s understanding, the damage had been done. He further went to state that undocumented immigrants were 'criminal aliens’ who would be deported as soon as he got into office. The need for 'ideological certification’ that confirmed immigrants shares 'our values’ summed the speech up.
Actress America Ferrera was not too pleased since she is of the Mexican heritage. She wrote an open letter to Trump thanking him for thanking him for his hateful statements. She informed him that voters from the Latin community would give elect other candidates.
Shonda Rhimes and other artists have united against hate speech by signing a petition. Their main objective is that the GOP never enters White House.

3. Inexperienced to be the president
While Robert De Niro states that Hillary has earned the right to be president, Stephen Hawking says that he doesn’t understand Trump’s political rise. Interestingly this is how the majority of Americans feel. A certain writer who is anti-Trump writes, 'Trump hates political correctness so much. The president’s job is to represent us in foreign policy. You want someone like this (Trump) representing us?'.

4. Biased against women in leadership
Trump has lost Lena Dunham’s vote because of his gender insensitive comments. He is accused of constantly attacking Hillary on gender grounds. Trump’s opponents argue that his comments are meant to prove that women are not fit to become presidents.
Trump is accused of playing 'the woman card’. He cannot explain why Hillary is not fit to be president yet she has an outstanding portfolio. When Hillary asked him to explain his accomplishments as a political leader, he failed miserably.
After an interview with Kelly, he suggested that she might have been menstruating which was 'disgusting’. Most people are thinking that Trump is afraid of women- anyway.

Joss Whedon directed 'Save the day', an political TV commercial campaign. Robert Downey Jr. to Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Clark Gregg and Mark Ruffalo to Martin Sheen, Stanley Tucci, James Franco, Neil Patrick Harris, Julianne Moore, Nathan Fillion, Rosie Perez, Tarran Killam, and Bradley Whitford participeded to the commercial.
