'The Jungle Book', a star-studded Disney animation

The Jungle Book movie will be released on the 15th of April, 2016. It has been directed by Jon Favreau and based on the book of the same name by Rudyard Kipling. In fact this is the first family film done by Jon since Elf was done by him. This film will be released by Walt Disney Pictures. The full length trailer of the movie was unrolled during the Super Bowl and received raving reviews. This movie is a 3D Computer Graphics generated adventure animated film and the producers of it are Molly Allen, Peter M. Tobyanse and Karen Gilchrist. The music of the film is written by John Debney. The filming of the movie started on the 5th Aug, 2014.

The star cast of this movie is impressive as it has Neel Sethi who plays Mowgli. Bill Murray plays the brown bear Balloo who in the movie is sleepy and laid back. Bill’s voice suits the character. Ben Kingsley, the famous actor who has won an Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe as well as the Screen Actors Guild award, plays the panther Bagheera who in the film is a wise, responsible and serious animal. The voice needed by the producer, was to be one that had both softness as well as sweetness to it.

So they went with Ben. Scarlett Johansson lends her seductive voice as Kaa who as per the book, even though is said to be a hundred years old, still is to be in the prime of life. Christopher Walken’s deep voice is the one which has been lent for King Louie the orangutang, while Esposito plays Akela the wolf and Idris Elba, the British Actor, Musician and DJ plays the part of Shere Khan.

One little known fact is that Neel Sethi was thrilled that the two great screen legends even managed to find time to played football with him.

Jungle Book is about a boy named Mowgli who has been raised in the jungle by a pack of wolves but who is constantly threatened by Shere Khan who hates all men as he was injured by men and has vowed to take revenge against all men. The panther Bagheera does all in his power to help take the child Mowgli back to the land of the humans as he is no longer welcome in the jungle. However, during the course of the movie, Mowgli the boy is led on a path of self discovery and meets several jungle creatures. Not all of these are his friends. The animals include King Louie who wants Mowgli to give him the red flowers (flowers) as well as Kaa the python who tries to hypnotise him. Mowgli during the movie also meets the laid back brown bear Balloo.

The animation of the movie is great and lives up to the Disney productions. The locations which are shown in the film are all computer generated VFX and amazing in all details.
