Shane Black is going old school

From the man who directed The Iron Man 3 and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Shane Black, we're getting the new movie that is a bit different than the movies he directed earlier, comedic thriller. Shane has participated in a good amount of movies until now. Some of them are the movie adaptation of "Doc Savage" novels, Predator, also, he participated in making of the movie based on Destroyer novels.

After all of those movies, Shane decided to a little detour and go old school, to be more precise, his new movie will be a detective one. His right hand on set will be the man who worked with him when they were making "Lethal Weapon", Joel Silver. As we could have expected, Shane's new movie will be similar to Kiss Kiss Bang Bang because it has all of the detective elements.

The name of his new movie will be "The nice guys" and the main stars will be Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. At the first look, the cast of this movie might seem a bit unusual, the reason for that is mainly the genre and the plot of this movie. To understand why am I saying this, you either have to watch the trailer, or read the next paragraph.

The Plot
"The nice guys" takes place in the 1970's, and it's focused on a life of a private investigator, starred by Ryan Gosling and also follows a hired leg-breaker starred by Russell Crowe. Although these two bad boys seem unmatchable, this duo starts to work together and the reason for that is pretty weird. They teamed up to solve a dead pornstar case. Surprisingly (or not) these two guys start to along pretty good along the. To make the things a lot weird, as they weren't weird enough already, another person joins them in some of the adventures. Disturbingly, the third member is Ryan's daughter. What a great example of awesome parenthood, right?

**The Cast
**Do you now understand why is cast a bit unusual? When we hear the name Russell Crowe, the Academy Award winner, we think about the masterpieces like The Gladiator, so it's weird to see him in a movie like this, it's like he's following the steps of Samuel L. Jackson. Ryan Gosling isn't no exception also, we got used to watching him in extremely good movies like The Drive. He was also The Academy Award nominee, so all of us expected his next movie to be something more serious. But when we think about this movie a little bit, we should be happy these two actors are in this. Because let's be honest, the theme of this movie is a bit cliche. We're all familiar with this kind of movies and saw a bunch of them, so if anyone can pull this off and make it work it's these two.

**Conclusion and Release Date
**The Nice Guys will be released in U.S theaters on June 17th, 2016. But the real question is, should I go and watch it? It might not be the movie of the year, but it has all of the elements Kiss Kiss Bang Bang had, and that is very promising. So, we can only hope that Ryan and Russell will be able to make this movie not only worth watching but make it a future classic.
