Latest news and gossip about Assassins Creed with Michael Fassbender

After Ubisoft announced the latest Assassins Creed movie featuring Michael Fassbender, game players and fans alike have been eagerly anticipating the movies arrival this month. Inglorious Basterds actor plays the lead role in the movie and assures fans it will be 'respectful of the game’.
At the same time however, the movies director wants to keep things fresh and mix it up by adding new elements. This guarantees to keep things interesting and add a decent amount of unexpected parts to the plot.

With the filming being wrapped up and the movie ready to air, the producer and main star Michael Fassbender have opened up in recent interviews. They have likened the storyline and various elements within the movie to being like that of The Matrix. Surely this means that Assassin’s Creed now has a lot to live up to giving itself that standard of comparison.
How is it like the Matrix however? When Fassbender was asked, He said that he had always 'thought about the Matrix when we’ve approached this’. When he was speaking to Empire, he discussed the idea that the concept of memory in DNA takes this movie above and beyond fantasy.
Instead of just being a fantasy movie, it becomes something more real just as the matrix was. Because the characters journey is more intense, the audience can connect in a heightened yet more personal way. This displays Michael Fassbender is not only proud to be in the movie but is super excited about how it will connect to the audience.

On the actual filming side of things however, Michael admits to loving the adrenalin rush of shooting everything in real time rather than green screen. With plenty of stunt doubles, producers have ensured the movie is taken to the next level and remains a certain level of realism.
This is an unusual slant on films within this genre but keeps things looking and feeling fresh. With the courage of stunt doubles and various actors filling the gaps and making scenes exhilarating to watch.

Fassbender will be playing a character created for the movie rather than that from the game but still throws viewers into the same dark world nonetheless. Not to mention the first class technology used throughout will intensify the adventure and storyline.

In a recent interview with the Daily Beast, Michael Fassbender updates audiences about the on screen adaptation by saying he doesn’t “have a video game player … that’s not what they’re called. [Laughs] I met up with the guys from Ubisoft and they told me the story behind it, and I thought it was very interesting—the idea of reliving memories.”

So the rest is history and as fans eagerly anticipate its release, even Assassin Creed newbies will find plenty to enjoy in this movie.
