Goldie Hawn in talks to play Amy Schumer's mother in upcoming comedy

Over the years, Amy Schumer has spent a lot of time on the screen with A-list actors and actresses. Now she may be adding one more high-profile star to the list. Oscar winner Goldie Hawn is reportedly in talks to star alongside Schumer as her mother in an upcoming comedy by 20th Century Fox. The film is set to be an action-comedy movie which highlights a mother-daughter relationship. The part of the mother is yet to be cast, but it would seem that Hawn is the best option. She has experience and ability in the comedy genre, but she also brings the experience of being the mother of a different A-list star, Kate Hudson. And Hawn of course looks somewhat like Schumer, enough to play her mother. However, fans of Schumer and Hawn shouldn’t get overly excited by the idea of the casting as Hawn has yet to accept the part. Apparently, Hawn was not the first choice for the role. The Hollywood Reporter reported that Frances McDormand and Sally Field both were in early consideration for the role, but each passed for various reasons, unspecified by the Reporter. Still, it would be very interesting to see Hawn and Schumer team up in the comedy since it has been a long time since Hawn last took on a movie role. The last film she starred in was the 2002 movie The Banger Sisters. The last acting role she had was a voice part in one episode of the animated Disney TV series called Phineas and Ferb. This was way back in 2013. Hawn is once again ready to conquer the screen, as she is set to be in a Netflix original movie where Diane Keaton and Better Midler will star with Hawn as former band mates.
