Amazon releases the trailer for Creative Control

The film creative control is directed by Benjamin Dickinson and written by Micah Bloomberg and Benjamin Dickinson as well. The film stars Benjamin Dickinson, Dan Hill, Nora Zehetner and Reggie Watts. Creative Control tells the story of a young man, an advertising executive played by Dickinson testing his new pair of virtual reality glasses which alters his reality and, therefore, causing him to lose the control of knowing what's real or fake. He is an overworked person who tries to develop a high profile marketing campaign for a new invention, the Augmenta Reality Glasses. He uses the glasses to carry out an illicit affair with his best friends girlfriend as the film unfolds. Nora Zehetner who is the main characters girlfriend is obsessed with yoga and his instructor is the same person who was in First Winter. The two grow apart, one with Yoga and the other with Augment Glasses.

The director, Dickinson said that the next film will use technology that is just like that of the augmented glasses. He further stated that he finds Valve and HTC's Vive virtual reality headsets mind blowing and prefers them to Samsung's. He says that Creative Control doesn't blame technology for any negative things that happen in the film and instead says its the humans to blame. It seems like Amazon is really psyched up about the creative control as it has committed itself to supporting and developing the director's next project. It's Amazon's first year in the business of making and buying original programming.

The films rights were picked by Amazon last March at the South By Southwest Festival where the film debuted at SXSW. This came in just after Amazon studios had a deal with the Magnolia Pictures on the distribution of its first movie Chi-Raq. winning the special jury prize for visual excellence was probably what attracted Amazon most to buying the rights to the film. Amazon has been snapping several films from directors and festivals like the 'Complete Unknown' which is a romantic novel, and the 'Chi-raq' in order to get into a better position for competition with Netflix. They even had a deal with Jim Jarmusch and Terry Gilliam for future films'Chi-raq to get into a position for better competition with Netflix.

Amazon won the Golden Globes Award for the 'Transparent' and 'Mozart in the Jungle' and therefore making a name for itself. It now has a line-up of coming films like the 'Paterson' which will be directed by Jim Jarmusch and 'Elvis & Nixon' which will star Kevin Spacey, Bleecker Street and Michael Shannon.

Amazon has provided a brand new trailer for the film aimed at getting audiences excited about what to expect to see in theaters.. The trailer is however not yet on YouTube. The whole film is shot in black and white probably to show the anxiety coming with the embrace of this new technology that alienates the star from his life.

The film has been slated for theater and online streaming release by Amazon with the partnership of Magnolia Pictures on March 11, 2016, before it becomes available for Amazon Prime members on Amazon Prime Video.
