Upcoming Jessica Alba's movies

Alba, who began her acting career at the age of 13, has come a long way from her first role in Camp Nowhere. The 34-year-old actress has been featured in many top grossing movies in her career, and it seems like 2016 will be among her biggest years. Jessica has however enjoyed being in a movie that’s held the number box office movie charts. There is so much she has accomplished and according to maxim magazine, she was quoted saying that she uses her sexuality to her advantage. This tactic I must stay, it has worked in her favor. She has won awards left and right owing to her beauty and excellent role in science fiction movies among other genres. Other that being a model and actor, she is also a business woman and is a cofounder of the Honest Company. This year we are set to view her performance in movies like Mechanic 2 and The Veil.

2016 for Jessica Alba

The Mechanic first appeared way back in 1972 and was directed by Michael Winner, then in 2011 a sequel was made featuring Jason Statham as the lead role. The movie is a thriller and Arthur Bishop, the assassin Jason plays, is skilled at making murders seem like accidents to the police investigating the crimes. Jessica Alba wasn’t did not get a role here, but it seems like the directors had a change of heart when making the sequel. Dubbed Mechanic: Resurrection revolves around the revenge mission planned out by Arthur Bishop when the woman he loves is kidnapped. Jessica Alba takes up the role of Gina in this movie.

Jessica Alba in the horror movie 'The Veil'

Its filming began in 2014 and were estimated to cost 40 million dollars and was shot in 11 locations. Typical of thrillers, the plot is set to have unexpected twists just like its launch date. Lionsgate assured its fans of a late August release date that has already seen three delays. This opens a lot of doors for Alba as the lead female role goes to her. The original Mechanic did very well in box office, and this sequel is sure to attract even more fans.

It’s not all great news for Alba as a horror movie she is featured in hasn’t made headlines as much. Its poor ratings and a general public lack of interest in watching new horror movies. The movie “The Veil” shows Alba acting as Maggie Price, a film maker interested in a case her father handled. It is based on the reincarnation phenomenon, but its reviews aren’t so promising.

The 93-minute movie cost about 4 million dollars to produce, a relatively cheaper price compared to what the mechanic cost. Let’s hope however that Mechanic: Resurrection turns around Alba’s year. Directors vary in both films as Dennis Gansel will be directing the sequel mechanic while The Veil was directed by Phil Joanou. Some will argue that Alba's movie The Veil needs more time but we have all witnessed some of Alba’s movies like The Fantastic Four achieve a lot within the first few weeks of release. For both lovers and haters, we can't wait to see some of Jessica Alba movies hit the big screen.
