Edward Norton outstanding film career

Early history Edward Harrison Norton was born on August 18 1969 in Boston, Massachusetts but raised in Columbia in Maryland to Mr Edward Mower-Norton Jr. and Lydia Robinson.This thespian is an all-rounder, who also does film making and activism in addition to acting. Having been raised Episcopalian, Norton graduated from Wilde Lake High School in 1987 and later attended Yale University during which he was a very competitive rower and also acted in the University productions alongside notable names like Paul Giamatti and Ron Livingstone. He was later to graduate with a BA in History in 1991 . The actor owes the fact that he can speak some Japanese language to a short period of work in Osaka, Japan after his graduation. Career and accolades During his debut Primal Fear, he played Aaron Stampler, an altar boy that was charged with murdering of a Roman Catholic Bishop. Despite receiving mixed reactions, Norton went on to win Golden Globe Award, then was further nominated for an Academy Awards for best supporting-actor. The same year, he played lawyer Allan Isaacman in The People versus Larry Flint, before playing Derek Vinyard the following year in the movie American History X. This movie received positive reviews and grossed well over $23 million worldwide, subsequently earning him an Academy-Award nomination for the best actor. Mr Norton would later pursue further his acting career by guest-starring in certain films, co-starring in others and assuming smaller roles in many more. While most of the movies he starred in were positively received, some like Fight Club received fairly poor reviews. Personal life A six years dating culminated into a proposal to Canadian film-producer Shauna Robertson in 2011. They later married in 2012 and were blessed with a son, Atlas in March 18 2013. Unlike many celebrities, Norton is known for being reluctant in embracing his celebrity status. His sarcastic statement, "If I ever stop taking the subway, I will have a heart attack" is testament to the fact that celebrity status means nothing to this actor. Aside from his acting life, Norton also has a life in other social circles; an example is his membership in the Board of Trustees at the Enterprise Community Partners which is a non profit developer of affordable housing that is based in his hometown.
