Budapest has once again hosted a top notch Hollywood movie, 'Inferno'.

'Inferno' Tom Hanks new movie which is a sequel to the 'Da Vinci Code' stars the two times Oscar winner Tom Hanks for the movies 'Philadelphia' (1993) and 'Forrest Gump' (1994) and the stunning Felicity Jones an Oscar nominee for 'The Theory of Everything’. The action packed and thrilling movie is in line with its predecessors the 'Angels and Demons' and The 'Da vinci code' all a part of a sequence of writings by Dan Brown. The script has been written by David Koepp and the movie directed by Ron Howard.

The premise

In this mystery, Robert Langdon, played by Tom hanks, awakens in a hospital bed somewhere in Florence, Italy. His memory is totally wiped out with no remembrance of anything that has transpired in his life in the past few days. In this situation, he finds himself the target of a manhunt that he has no clue about. With the help of Dr. Sienna Brooks played by Felicia Jones and his scientific knowledge of Symbology, Langdon tries to regain his freedom and lost memories, all the while trying to solve the most challenging riddle that he has ever been faced with. He follows a trail of clues that leads into Dante, the great poet. Theirs will be a race across Europe as they to try to unlock a deadly global plot.

Cast

The thriller casts Tom hanks as Robert Langdon a Harvard professor of symbology who has lost his memories and is a main target in a manhunt. Felicity Jones is cast as Dr. Sienna Brooks, a doctor who helps Robert Langdon in the mystery surrounding him. Irrfan Khan ('Life of a Pi') is cast as Harry, a provost, and head of the consortium who helps Zobrist in his deadly mission. Omar Sy is cast as Chrisoph Bruder the head of the SRS team. Ben Foster stars as Bertrand Zobrist who is a transhumanist scientist, intent in solving the overpopulation problem. Sidse Babett Knudsen plays Elizabeth Sinskey the head of the World’s Heath Organization. Ana Ularu plays Vayentha a consortiums agent who has orders to keep track of Robert Langdon and Jon Donahue is cast as Richard.

Production

Ron Howard was set to direct Dan Brown’s fourth novel 'Inferno' by Sony Pictures entertainment back in July 16th 2013. David Koepp became the script writer and Imagine Entertainment was to produce the film. Tom Hanks were to star in the movie once again playing the role of Robert Langdon. The deal was finalized on August 26 2014. Production was to begin in April 2014 with Brian Grazer set to produce the movie alongside Howard. On February 17th 2015, the full cast for the movie was revealed.

Filming

The filming of the movie began on April 27, 2015 in Venice in Italy and later continued in Florence, Italy. The outdoor scenes starring Hanks were filmed near Palazzo Vecchio and in some places in the historic center of the city. On May 11, 2015, the low flying aerial shots of the Florence landmarks such as the rivers and bridges were filmed. The outdoor sequence appears to have been shot somewhere in Padova Railway Station as per the trailer. As of June 5, 2015, most of the movie was planned to be shot in Budapest, Hungary. Filming wrapped up on July 21, 2015. During the location filming, headache was used as the movies codename maybe in reference to the concussion suffered by Robert Langdon on the beginning of the movie.

Release

Back in July 2013, Sony had set the film to be released on December 18, 20015. However, the release dates clashed with that of 'Star Wars: the Force Awakens' and it was moved to October 16, 2016. In early, 2016, the movie was pushed to October 28, 2016. The teaser trailer of the film was released on May 9, 2016. The film will be available both in 2D and 3D formats. The movie will take 121 minutes to complete.

Expected Box Office

Tom Hanks received a salary of over $50 million so as to reprise his role as Robert Langdon in 'Angels and demons'. At that time, his salary was the biggest in the history of Hollywood. Having knocked it off in the last two sequels, it’s no surprise that we are seeing him return for the third. With the last movies having smashed the box office with 'The Da Vinci Code' taking in over $758 million, and 'Angels and Demons' $ 486, the box office for the 'Inferno' is likely to be impressive with Hanks enjoying a good share of the profits. By the time that 'Inferno' will hit the theaters, more than ten years will have passed since 'Da Vinci Code', the significant drop in box office will also be a bit startling and with the decline in demand from Dan Brown books, the box office might get even worse.

Why everybody thinks that 'Inferno' will be the best Dan Brown adaptation

The Da Vinci Code is said to have been Tom Hanks ever worst hair related disaster. Luckily, his design team has decided to make a change and is not going to continue with his unfortunate mullet again. Secondly, he will be accompanied by Felicity Jones Dr. Brooke the brilliant scientist who also happens to be stunningly beautiful. The other casts such as Omar Sy, Irrfan Khan, Babett Knudsen and Ben Foster are also some of the casts that are likely to make the inferno an explosive movie. Moreover, the production team has had plenty of time to work on the movie and ensure that it is the best release in 2016.

Ron Howards note about 'Inferno'

Ron Howard states that there are elements of horror in the thriller, which is down to Dan Brown finding his source of inspiration in the medieval Italian poet influential masterpiece. He mentions the movie’s main issue of overpopulation as the contemporary, edged kind of a thriller. He further states that inferno offered him the chance to get to work with Hanks for the fifth time, since a while back when they worked together on Splash. The period, he states has provided them an opportunity to develop a mutual friendship and trust.

The expectations for the movie are high, and with ample time, Ron Horward is expected to have produced the best inferno movie that there can be!
