These families are continuously involved in conflicts which are stirred by the desire to ascend to this coveted throne. The nobles even form alliances solely for the purpose of gaining control of the throne.

According to Paula Fairfield, a sound designer on the series, Daenerys' dragon Drogon is designed to sound similar to her late husband Khal Drogo, whom the sound team considers Drogon to be a metaphorical reincarnation of.

The second story point of the series revolves around the last descendant of the realm's fallen ruling dynasty. The descendant has been forced into exile following the collapse of the longtime regime. They meanwhile planning a return to the throne during their period of exile and hiding.

Thirdly, the 'GO Throne' also revolves around the firmly established brotherhood that seeks to protect the realm against their Northern foes. This brotherhood is additionally seeking to protect the realm against an incoming winter.

Season 7 is a bit different

'GO Thrones s7' is slightly different from the preceding episodes of the television series. To begin with, it will be the only season in the series that has had fewer than 10 episodes. Season 7 only has 6 episodes whereas the other six have 10 episodes each.

Secondly, the 7th season is different in terms of its contents. The season ventures into previously unknown territories by including stories from two brand new books. In addition to the original content, season 7 includes a bit of content from The Wind of Winter and A Dream of Spring. These are R. R Martin's sixth and seventh novels which he is in the process of publishing.

One of the hallmarks of the show is its willingness to kill off beloved characters, oftentimes without warning
