The initial Pirates movie, 'The curse of the Black Pearl' was a great success. It was warmly welcomed by critics and fans. Orlando Bloom's first appearance as Will Turner in ten years since 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' (2007)

The filming of the movie faced a few challenges. One of those challenges was whereby Depp injured his hand while shooting at a location in Australia back in March 2015. This forced the movie directors to stop the movie for a short while, while Depp recovered.
