It doesn't matter what you think about Tom Cruise but the fact remains that he is a perfectionist. He does whatever is needed to get the job done. The 53-year-old action hero is still acting the hell out of 'Mission Impossible' where he plays the role of Ethan Hunt. He still maintains the same charisma and energy that he had 19 years ago when the franchise started. You heard right, it has been a good 19 years since the first 'Mission Impossible' franchise was released. The forthcoming sequel film is speculated to feature huge and fantastic stunts with Cruise being more amusing and strong. With each franchise of this sequel, the action becomes more and more heart racing as the stunts become more terrifying as Ethan Hunt takes the stakes higher, defying death in each thrilling stunt.
While filming the scene where Tom Cruise drops from the ceiling and hovers inches above the ground, Cruise's head kept hitting the floor until he got the idea to put coins in his shoes for balance
In my opinion, Tom Cruise intends to play the role until he's a hundred years or until everyone has had enough of 'Mission Impossible' films (on a lighter note). But honestly, if he doesn't serve a couple of more films in the near future, his fans will be the disappointment. According to publications, the forthcoming film will be centered on a mission that will be resolved by Ethan and the crew, which I will honestly compare to same old wine in a brand new bottle. It is rumored that the films will be different from the other installments but it is easy to tell that the formula will be standard.
Tom Cruise had mentioned that the film was set to commence in production in the fall of last year. In his statement as the lead actor, Cruise said the pieces will be more incredible, along with thrilling stunts and a very compelling storyline. The project is still in the early stages of development so it is hard to tell the exact plot details and cast of MI6. However, according to the details that have been revealed so far, MI6 will also include some of the former co-stars like Rebecca Ferguson. Bruce Geller is also expected to be on board the screenplay.
'Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation' grossed $195 million in the U.S. and Canada, and $487.3 million in other countries, for a worldwide total of $682.3 million
It didn't come as a surprise that there was to be a part six of the installment series because Tom cruise had already said that this was the only role he was willing to reprise. Secondly, at the end of the film (spoilers alert!), the viewer is left in suspense. This is an open door for another sequel. The IMF disbanded team lead by Ethan Hunt takes down an anti-IMF syndicate who have been trying to create a network of terrorists. The team is then reinstated by Hunley, the head of CIA, who later becomes the secretary of the IMF. This is the last thing that the viewer discovers before the signature end song of IMF comes on together with the end credit rolls. This is a definite assurance to the viewer that the MIF adventure is set to continue. If this is the case, I am very sure that the future MIF films will be just as action packed as the previous films. Tom Cruise and his team have always met the viewer's expectations, there is no reason to stop now.
