They have been married for just 15 months. Heard wants spousal support in the petition but Depp was quick to ask the judge to reject her request.

According to 'The Pirates of the Caribbean' star expressed that people have created salacious false stories based on misinformation regarding his personal life and he is not willing to respond to any gossip and lies. He only hopes that the dissolution of the short-lived marriage gets resolved quickly.

On the other hand, Heard accused Depp of abuse and even went on to gets a Restraining order against her husband. 'The Danish Girl' actress appeared before a judge looking bruised and even brought photographic evidence as proving of abuse. The actress detailed her tumultuous relationship and was granted a temporary restraining order. According to Heard, Depp has a long history of substance abuse and often gets physical. On one occasion, Depp showed up to Heard’s birthday party high and inebriated then physically abused the actress. As the actress recounted, Depp has chucked a cell phone in her face.

According to Depp’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, Heard is making the false domestic abuse accusations to secure financial gain. The high profile continued to express that Heard may have applied for a temporary restraining order in response to negative media attention she was subjected to after filing for the divorce. Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose Depp defended her father on Instagram and even went to post a photo of the actor and herself captioned 'My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know'. The 17 years old expressed that her father has been wonderful to her and her little brother and people close to them would attest to that. Depp's former wife Vanessa Paradis wrote a letter to defend her kid’s father citing that Depp is a sensitive loved and loving person and the abuse allegations filed against him are nothing but outrageous. She went ahead to confess that she has never seen Depp getting physical.

On other news, Dough Stanhope, Depp's close friend, wrote that Depp had earlier told him that Heard was threatening to blackmail him. He went on to say that though Depp was sad about his mother’s death he was also feeling sad and vulnerable since Heard was leaving him and threatening to spread lies about the actor if he did not agree to her terms. Heard denied ever blackmailing and called the allegations unequivocally false.
