Take a glance at the 'Nocturnal Animals'

Tom Ford’s sophomore effort at the film industry just confirms that he is already a maverick in his own right. The fashion icon turned filmmakers sophomore release, 'A Single Man' rocked, was seven years ago. Most directors can agree that creating a single movie is an uphill task. The trailer for his new release 'Nocturnal Animals' has generated a great deal of anticipation online for the new film. So what really makes the new film, Nocturnal Animals match up to the excitement and anticipation it has aroused?

Nocturnal Animals is a double narrative centered on the 1993 novel Tony and Susan by Austin Wright. The interrelation between fiction and a deep touch of reality is no easy task to accomplish, a pointer that Ford has tremendously raised the bar from his 2009 drama.

Disturbing Thriller with a Great Cast

Centered on Los Angeles, Susan (Amy Adams) is running a successful gallery which specializes in provocative and shocking conceptual pieces. As much as she has achieved a great deal of success, her personal wealth derives mainly from the business activities of her husband Walker (Armie Hammer). The whole intrigue begins when she stumbles across an unpublished novel manuscript of her first hubby, Tony (Jake Gyllenhaal) who was some charming, sensitive wannabe writer from Texas. Susan had broken his heart twice over, first by shattering his hopes of ever being an author and dumping him for Walker.

With Walker being out of town during the weekend, Susan starts reading the novel, which is will be dramatized in front of us. The clash between the glam LA lifestyle and this is great. The story transforms into a Texas crime thriller involving a married man of which Susan imagines Tony – the role played by Jake Gyllenhaal. Tony goes out on vacation across the remote desert terrain with his wife Laura (Isla Fisher) and their sweetheart Helen (Ellie Bamber). Sadly they get terrorized by a bunch of wild gang members headed by Ray (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). This tragic situation results into a confrontation with the intriguing Texas lawman, a role incredibly played by Michael Shannon.
