Cara Delevingne on juggling modelling, acting and depression

Cara Delevingne took to Twitter recently to clarify the confusion that took storm about her quitting her modelling career, after some quotes that she made last year was understood incorrectly. So, No, depression has not gotten the best of the lovely Cara Delevingne, and to make her point even more prominent she posted the twitter status just after she posted a series of professional shots for her new Saint Laurent campaign.

Cara Delevingne went through a rough patch in her life in the middle of her modelling career; she does not blame her modelling or the fashion industry at all. She claims that she does suffer from depression, but this will not get her down she will carry on with her modelling career.
Apparently the stress Cara suffered had given her an auto immune disease called psoriasis which is characterised by awful red itchy patches on your skin, and this at the height of her career to make matters even worse, so she needed some time off to straighten herself out again. This caused her to shift her focus away from modelling.

She loves her glamorous lifestyle and appreciates it as well, she tried to use her career to get over her depression and to escape her issues but unfortunately she did not realise until after her breakdown that the fashion industry is not to be taken lightly and poses its own stress.
So a totally exhausted Cara decided to focus more on her flourishing filming career and accept herself for her flaws, although that too is not an easy escape. She had a few roles that she played in some big screen hits such as big-screen flicks like Pan, Paper Towns, and Suicide Squad.

The painful truth about the fashion world knocked her like the tree she liked to knock herself out on, it is a heartless, unsympathetic, perfectionistic industry that makes you feel unworthy and ugly, the pressure is immense and it ended up in Cara hating herself and suffering severe depression.
Her last confession on instagram seems to point to the reason for her “rough patch” being a “someone” and not a “something”, apparently the poor girl was hurt and broken up by someone, and not just once.
So for now Cara Delevingne is not as involved in modelling as she used to be, but she is not entirely absent from the scene, she and her dog Leo were seen in the front row watching a Chanel couture show in Paris.

Cara is also currently hard at work with her filming career focusing mostly on that, she is currently filming French director Luc Besson’s movie called “Valerian City of a Thousand Planets”
She has been having an on-going collaboration with Saint Laurent’s creative and image director Hedi Slimane, although, this is about as far as her modelling career is going for now and her interest in it in general is fading as we speak, filming at this pint just seems to suit her much better.

Cara Delevingne in Suicide Squad

But be sure to see her this summer in the movies for 'Absolutely Fabulous' and 'Suicide Squad', she is definitely a good actress and not to be missed.
