Major developments in Gotham season 2 this year

Gotham season 2 returned in February from where it had left over last year. So many things have happened in Season 2 that it is hard to believe that it’s only midway through. There is still a lot more coming, including brand new characters and storylines.

Several storylines were wrapped up before the mid-season finale, but it was very clear that others were only getting started. When Gotham came back, it came with many new developments such as Bruce getting more information about his parent’s killer, Penguin poise to get back to power and Gordon’s life being on a brand new path.

Here we will let you know about all the major developments in the last half of Gotham season 2 which include;

Mini O.C. reunion

Ben McKenzie’s former cast mate at O.C. Melinda Clarke has joined Gotham this year in a recurring movie role. Clarke plays the character Grace V. Dahl, who is described as “cultured and attractive .” Her character is original to this series and she plays the role of wife and hostess during the day, and the role of killer at night. Grace Van Dahl plays as another citizen of Gotham trying to get more money and power! Clarke is expected to make the first appearance as Grace in episode 15, which airs in March 2016.

Meeting Penguin’s Dad

Although Penguin’s mother was murdered in the initial half of Gotham s2, fans get to meet his father during the second half. Paul Reubens, who best known for his role as Pee-wee Herman, will feature as Penguin’s dad. This will be the 2nd time Reubens plays as Penguin’s father, with the initial time he played being on Batman Returns. There is no word yet on when he will appear but it will be interesting to know how Penguin will take this considering how deeply Penguin was hurt by the death of his mother.

Bruce hunting down Malone

In Gotham s2, ep10, Selina and Bruce tricked Silver to giving up the identity of the man who killed Bruce’s parents. And According to Silver, the man is named M. Malone. Reports by ComicBook.com have it that Fox are already casting Breaking Bad alumnus M.Bowen to play the character of Malone.

Indian Hill

The initial half of the second season of Gotham kept teasing us back to a few very creepy happenings at Indian Hill. All dead or barely alive characters were being brought here, while other characters seemed to be going through experimentation. When Gotham returned, fans were given the chance to meet the man who was behind Indian Hill. Hugo Strange, a character played by BD Wong, gets introduced as a genius who’s secretly performing experiments in the Indian Hill Laboratory. And According to USA Today, he also works at Arkham Asylum as a psychiatrist. Other victims to Strange’s in the second half of season 2 include Galavan, Firefly, Barbara, and Jerome.

Mr. Freeze

At the end of Gotham’s mid-season finale, fans were shown a very brief teaser of Mr. Freeze. Nathan Darrow plays the role of Victor Fries (Mr. Freeze) while Kristen Hager plays the role of her terminally ill wife.
