Jungle Book Trailer - A perfect introduction to the epic story

The Jungle Book is Disney's upcoming animated movie. It is the remake of the 1967 movie of the same name. Recently, Disney was successful with the remakes of popular movies like Maleficent and Alice in Wonderland. In 2015, Cinderella was also a big hit in the box office. Hence, it was nothing surprising when they decided to go for a remake of The Jungle Book. Not many people know, but in 1994 Disney made a remake of the movie. It was actually quite successful and many people liked it, but it was criticized for not following Rudyard Kipling's book.

"The Jungle Book" released launched its first trailer and it was epic to say the least. It provided lots of information that will make the original fans of the story happy. And it also has enough adventure and action for the new fans. From the trailer it looks like Disney will be adding some new elements to the story. They have also tried this with their other remakes like " Alice In Wonderland" by putting more focus on the villains. But many felt that it was unnecessary. However, with Jungle Book they have a source material that can be converted into a brilliant adventure story.

The trailer tells us about the story of Mowgli and his friends. Mowgli was a small kid who was raised in the jungle by all the creatures but not everyone was ready to accept Mowgli as one of their own. Along with his friends Babloo,a bear and a black panther named Bagheera, Mowgli must survive . From the trailer, it looked Disney has borrowed a lot from the books but there are some minor chnages. In the trailer it was confirmed that the main villain here is the snake named Kaa who tried to eat Mowgli. But, in the book he was actually Mowgli's friend and saved him a few times. In the book Mowgli was rescued by a pack of wolves but here Bagheera, the panther was the first one to find Mowgli. However, some of the scenes are clearly inspired from the book; like the one where Mowgli steals the red flower from the village under the instructions of King Louie. This probably meant that there will be a fight between him and Shere Khan at the end of the movie. The trailer ends just like the book with Mowgli sailing down the river on the belly of a bear. The trailer has some great special effects and it is a joy to watch all those lively creatures and the beautiful forests.

Mowgli here is played by Neel Sethi, a newcomer. Director John Favreau has managed to gather a talented cast to give voices to all the creatures. Lupita Nyongo who recently became famous for her role in Star Wars will be the voice of Raksha, the mother wolf. Ben Kingsley will lend his voice to Bagheera, the black panther. Many people were not convinced when it was declared that Scarlett Johansson will be the voice of Kaa, the dangerous snake bust she absolutely steals the show in the trailer.
