'The Cold Front' set for release this January

Movie enthusiasts with a taste for suspenseful and horror thrillers that unravel slowly are in for a treat this year with the yet to be released movie The Cold Front. Shot in the cold winters of France, the straight to DVD movie is set to hit the movies stores on January 16, 2016. Casting Aleksandr Molochnikov, Darya Charusha, and Svetlana Ustinova, the thriller revolves the life of a young couple, Sasha, and Ilya, who are experiencing some trouble in with their relationship. Bored with each other and on the verge of a breakup, they head to a secluded beach house in the cold weather of Northern France winter. Meanwhile, on the nearby beach, an identified creature washes up dead, but they pay it no mind. Ilya, on his way home from a bar nearby, encounters Masha, a harmless looking Russian girl, lost after alighting the train at the wrong station. Looking cold, lonely and likely to spend the night in the winter cold, Masha prevails upon Ilya to let here spend the night at their beach house.   A friendship slowly blossoms between the couple who no doubt welcome the additional company to their lonely relationship. Unknown to them, they had just gone out and invited a monster into their lives. Born in Norilsk, Russia in 1980, Darya Charusha is a 35-year-old musical artist who plays the role of Sasha in this suspense thriller. Her previous works include Dead Daughters, a 2007 Russian big budget horror movie directed by Pavel Ruminov that collected $ 1,418, 200 at the box office. Her latest movie includes Star, a 2014 Russian movie with of rating of seven on the IMDb. In 2015, she featured in Hardcore, an action comedy hit that premiered on September 12, 2015, at the Toronto International Film Festival. STX entertainment paid $10 million for the worldwide rights to the film, which won the Grolsch People’s Choice Midnight Madness Award at the festival. Aleksandr Molochnikov star as Ilya, Sasha’s love interest and stars in two other Russian movies, Bratya Ch, a periodic drama set in the mid-19th century and Another Year, a romantic drama that follows the unstable relationship of a young married couple for a whole year. Both of these movies were released in 2014 to a warm reception. Russian-born, actress and movie producer, Svetlana Ustinova, stars as the stranded Russian girl in the movie that goes with the catch phrase, “Every monster needs a home.” She is well regarded in the Russian movie scene. Her previous works prior to The Cold Front include a role in the 2006 movie Heaven on Earth, and Veskoe Osnovanie Dlya Ubiystva’, a Russian crime drama released in 2009. Her most recent film was the 2012 action comedy, Astra, I Heart You, where she also stars as the lead. The Cold Front promises chilling suspense that will keep viewers glued to their screen as the events on the cold dreary winter front of Northern France chillingly unravel. The cold movies' setting only serves to flavor the chilling movie that revolve around relationships and human kindness in a captivating way.
