Dexter has killed about 117 people according to the Dexter Wiki. He had 45 blood slides in his first box before it was destroyed and now has about 43 slides in his new box. There were also 20 or so victims from whom he didn't collect blood.

5. Dexter

The world's favorite serial killer had his very own decade defining the show, starting from 2006. After being orphaned at a young age and raised by a Miami cop, Dexter learned how to use his inner demons to make the world a better place, by killing other criminals. He becomes somewhat similar to a vigilante superhero, acting with great caution in all of his crimes, while also leaving the impression that he is just an average guy next door.
The series gained massive interest from the public which leads to it having 8 full seasons and millions of fans all across the globe.

In several episodes, House is shown at home and his apartment number is 221B, a tribute to Sherlock Holmes famous London address, 221B Baker Street.

4. House M.D.

Being one of the most appreciated medical series ever to air on TV, House M.D. is one of the most successful Hollywood series ever. Its appeal comes, for the most part, from its incredibly likable protagonist, Greg House. Being the typical lonely genius he is able to solve the world's most insane medical mysteries with ease while also making fun of the entire hospital staff and even his own patients. While not exactly regarded as a comedy, House M.D. does certainly have many, many funny moments.

Every episode shares the name with a song title by a popular artist. Several are named after The Beatles and R.E.M. songs.

3. Grey's Anatomy

Being somewhat similar to House M.D. in its premise, Grey's Anatomy makes it clear that the people from Hollywood enjoy their medical dramas. After 13 full seasons, it remains the most highly rated series of all time on ABC. It follows the struggles of Meredith Grey and her medical staff trying to balance the chaotic workload at the Seattle Grace Hospital and their personal lives. Having some of the TV's greatest actors like Ellen Pompeo, Sandra Oh, Justin Chambers, Katherine Heigl and so on, it is no surprise to see how well-received by the public Grey's Anatomy has been.

Will Smith has stated that he encouraged the writers of the show to write more serious and dramatic episodes after being inspired by the many emotional moments on Roseanne (1988).

2. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Will Smith is one of the most recognized actors in Hollywood, and all of that fame can be traced back to this 90's sitcom. Will Smith, while playing basketball gets into trouble with a group of shady individuals, causing his mother to be afraid for his future, therefore sending him to Bel-Air, Los Angeles to live with his aunt and uncle. Being a low-to-middle class kid, raised on the streets, his interaction with the upper-class makes for some of the hilarious moments in American TV history.

When Matt LeBlanc auditioned for the role of Joey, he only had $11 to his name. When the cast got their first paychecks, the first thing that Courteney Cox bought was a car. Matt LeBlanc bought a hot dinner.

1. Friends

Topping the list, Friends, also known as "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" is the most popular sitcom of all time and one of the most successful Hollywood series. Being a staple of 90's and early 2000's, this show set the standard for all following comedy shows. The plot is very simple: it follows the lives of six single adults, living together and trying to find a partner, while also having lots and lots of fun. Having 10 seasons and lasting from 1994 to 2004, this show has defined television in that period though its likable characters, ingenious scripts, funny and unexpected moments, and many, many unforgettable quotes ("How you doin'?")

Some honorable mentions will have to go to Game of Thrones and Prison Break, which sadly did not make the list for the simple fact that most of the filming was done outside of Hollywood, LA. Nonetheless, these are amazingly successful TV series that gained massive fandom all across the world, and they deserve recognition just as much as the five featured on the list
