Assassin's Creed wrapped up production after encountering a whole lot of problems. The movie will join some of the big games that have hit big screens later this year. Though not much is known about the plot, Callum Lynch discovers that he is a descendant of the secret assassin’s society through unlocked genetic memories. The memories allow him to find again the adventures of his ancestor in the 15th century Spain. He gains incredible knowledge and skills which would help him to take on the wicked present day Knights Templar. His character is that of a master assassin with special abilities not involving magical or super powers.
The movie stars Michael Fassbender as Aguilar de Nerha and Callum Lynch, Marion Cotillard as the daughter of Alan Rikkin, Jeremy Irons as Alan Rikkih, Brendah Gleeson as Callum Lynch’s father, Ariane Labed as a 15th-century assassin, Jeremy K. Williams, Carlos Bardem, Denis Menochet, Hovik Keuchkerian and Javier Gutierrez. The Oscar Award winner, Jeremy Irons will feature in the film Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice playing the role of Alfred Pennyworth. The Irish actor, Brendan Gleeson has previously collaborated with Fassbender on the film 'Tresspass Among Us'.
The development of the movie began in May 2011 with it's developer, Ubisoft having a deal with Sony to distribute it. It was later announced on 2012 that Ubisoft had decided to collaborate with New Regency in developing the film as it was a talent and film maker driven company just as Ubisoft Motion Pictures. Michael Leslie was hired to write the script and Conor McCaughan to help Fassbender in its production. Scott Frank came in 2013 to rewrite the script followed by another rewrite in 2014 by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage. Filming of the movie began on September 2015 and took place in Malta, London and Spain. It was announced by Ubisoft on 15th January that the filming of the movie had concluded. Now the work of editing and getting visual effects looking well begins.
Images of the highly anticipated movie were released online. In the images, Fassbender looks dashing in the iconic hood and robes alongside Ariane Labed who is the co-star. Fassbender admitted that he hadn’t played the game before signing on, but has since then given it a spin. He sees the movie as something special as he is both an actor and producer in it.
